July 20th - FRIDAY:

  • 10:00 am - Alumni sign-in and GAMES
    • Location: Parra Ballroom - New Ranch
      • Bring your cards, Risk game, chess board, or whatever you liked to play "back then" and relive the glory in a pick-up game with other gifties.
  • 12:00 pm Lunch on your own

    • Feeling particularly nostalgic? Eat local in the NcNeese cafeteria

  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm - Alumni Spotlight highlighting the accomplishments of many of our GPGC graduates featuring:

    • Join us to officially kick off the 60th Reunion celebration;  as well as to hear alumni and current Program Director Josh Brown (class of 1986) speak on the current status and future of the program.
      • Location: Parra Ballroom - New Ranch (Appetizers will be served, and a cash bar will be available for alumni and guests 21+, however dinner is not being provided on this day.)
 

July 21st - SATURDAY:

Breakfast on your own

  • 9:00 am - Graduation for current GPGC students

  • 9:30 am - Graduation reception
    • ​Location: Lobby of Tritico Theater - Shearman Fine Arts addition

Get-together for current gifties, parents, and all alumni to meet, greet, socialize, network, and get to know one another.

  • 10:00am - 10:30am - Alumni speaker: Joe Abraham (class of 1970) Kings, Conquerors, Psychopaths: From Alexander to Hitler to the Corporations  
    • ​We revile Hitler but glorify his role models of Alexander, Caesar, and Napoleon, when all four were typical of the thousands of sadistic conquerors who slaughtered and raped their way through history, designing civilization—and humanity—as they did so. (And come hear how George Middleton helped me understand the solution to this problem.)
      • Location: Parra Ballroom - New Ranch
  • 10:30 am - 12:00 pm - Alumni speaker: Dr. Robert Svoboda (class of 1967)
    • Dr. Robert Svoboda is the first Westerner ever to graduate from a college of Ayurveda and be licensed to practice Ayurveda in India.
      • Location: Parra Ballroom - New Ranch
  • 12:00 - 1:00 - Lunch will be provided- Pizza and salad (GF options will be available)

  • 1:00 - 2:30pm - One-Man Show by Ron Ehmke (class of 1974),  "The Dark Times, Parts 2 and 3: In the City of the Dead," continues the saga of Life After the Program for several of his contemporaries in a (mostly) comic monologue that he began telling during the 55th-year reunion. This section is self-contained, so you don't have to have seen (or remember) Part 1.  ​
    • Location: Baker Auditorium, Farrar Hall

  • 3:00 pm - Final performances Large Ensemble & Choral Concerts
    • Location: Tritico Theater - Shearman Fine Arts addition

Don’t miss out on the large ensemble concert program, choral concert program and the opportunity as Alumni to join the chorus on stage to sing "The Impossible Dream".

  • 6:00 pm - Alumni Dinner with Alumni speaker: Joe Barnes (class of 1969)
    • Location: Parra ballroom - New Ranch (A cash bar available for alumni and guests 21+)
  • 7:30 - midnight -  Alumni Dance featuring karaoke and Alumni DJ Ryan Domingue (class of 2006)
    • Location: Parra ballroom - New Ranch (A cash bar available for alumni and guests 21+)

Join one of our local alumni showing off his skills at the turntables - and the option of karaoke.

 

July 22nd - SUNDAY:

  • 9:30 am - Breakfast and in person Alumni meeting
    • Location: McNeese cafeteria - Old Ranch (Breakfast will be provided and cash bar (mimosas) will be available for alumni and guests 21+)
This meeting is open to all alumni. We will brainstorm ideas for the future growth of GPGC.
