Friends of the Governor's Program for Gifted Children, Inc, is a 501c3, nonprofit organization. Funds are managed by the Friends Board in cooperation with the Governor’s Program Director.

Gifts primarily support:

  • Need-based scholarships for GPGC students, and
  • Grants to provide GPGC "wish list" items that would not otherwise be possible.

On a limited basis, some funds may be used for official alumni activities and events open to all GPGC alumni.

For the 60th Anniversary Reunion, a fund has been established to assist alumni who wish to attend but for whom the cost may be prohibitive. If you wish to contribute to this fund, please include the words “Reunion Fund” in the donation message, along with the portion to be directed per these examples:  REUNION FUND 100% REUNION FUND $50

All donations received during our fiscal year to reunion date (9/1/17-7/19/18) will be recognized in reunion materials as well as on the website. Please indicate “anonymous” if you do not wish to be listed.

Giving levels are:

  • Susceptor (supporter) - Up to $99
